NC 109 Improvements Draft Environmental Impact Statement - Public Input
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the Winston-Salem Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) are seeking public comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the NC 109 Improvements project.
The proposed project consists of improvements to the NC 109 corridor in Davidson and Forsyth Counties, south of the city of Winston-Salem. The DEIS documents the need for improvements to the existing corridor and evaluates alternatives with respect to costs and social, economic, and environmental impacts. A Preferred Alternative will be selected based on the findings of this study, an evaluation of comments received on this document, and comments received at the Public Hearing.
