Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)

The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is responsible for carrying out the transportation planning process in the Winston-Salem Urban Area. The MPO is an organization consisting of the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC); Transportation Advisory Committee Staff; the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT); and the various agencies and units of local and State government participating in transportation planning for the area.
