Preparing Materials
(Aluminum, Steel, Glass, Paper, Plastic)
Place all recyclable materials in your blue rollout recycling cart. No sorting is necessary. All recyclable materials must fit inside the cart with the lid closed. Retain excess materials for the following collection, or take to a recycling drop-off station.

ALUMINUM -BEVERAGE CANS -PIE TINS -FOIL |
- Rinse food residue from pie tins.
- NO food scraps on aluminum foil.

GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS (clear, green, and brown) |
- Remove caps/lids and discard.
- Rinse containers.
- NO ceramics, dishes, drinking glasses, light bulbs, mirrors, Pyrex, window glass, or any glass that is not a container.

ALL PLASTIC BOTTLES AND JUGS (clear and colored)
|
- The neck of the container must be smaller than the base or widest part.
- Rinse.
- Labels are OK.
- Do not remove caps.

- Rinse
- Lids only if still attached and tucked inside.
- Labels are OK.
- Aerosol cans must be empty. Remove and discard caps. Do not flatten.
- NO paint cans.

Paper Products
(Chipboard, Junk Mail/Office Paper, Magazines, Newspaper, Telephone Books)
Do not use plastic bags, which cause contamination of recyclables.

CHIPBOARD (cereal boxes, dry food boxes, paper towel rolls, etc.) |
- Remove plastic and foil liners.
- NO Styrofoam egg cartons.

JUNK MAIL & OFFICE PAPER |
- Includes envelopes, office and notebook paper, glossy ads, etc.
- Shredded office paper must be bagged and tied in a clear plastic bag to prevent litter.

MAGAZINES & CATALOGS |
- NO books, binders, or notebooks.

 |
NEWSPAPER |
- Remove from plastic bags.
|

TELEPHONE BOOKS |
- May be recycled year-round.

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD |
- Place inside of your Recycling Cart for collection.

Cardboard Drop-Offs 
In addition to curbside cardboard pick-up, you can drop-off clean, flattened corrugated cardboard at these Fire Stations at your convenience:

NO pizza boxes, boxes with grease or food residue, or packing materials. Cardboard must be placed inside containers at the Fire stations. If containers are full, visit another participating Fire Station.
