Soccer
As one of the favorite fall team sports offered by Special Olympics Forsyth County (SOFC), soccer has grown in popularity with new athletes and coaches joining every year. Athletes who participate in soccer develop physically and mentally, learning the fundamentals of soccer and the benefits of being on a team. Special Olympics soccer is played 5-a-side and on a smaller field than regulation soccer fields. The SOFC Fury has developed a statewide reputation of being very competitive. The team has won several medals in state level competition.
