Salem Lake User Information

• No bank fishing allowed at Salem Lake.

• All fishermen and boaters must check in at the Fishing Station before fishing on the pier or launching their boat.

• All fishermen age 16 and over must have a state fishing license regardless of the kind of bait they are using. This is enforced by law enforcement officers.  The state fishing license may be purchased at the Salem Lake Fishing Station.

• Only motors with 50 horsepower or less can use the lake. Motors with more horsepower are asked to use their trolling motors. This is easy to remove and the Fishing Station has the tools to remove the blade.

• All renters and passengers of boats rented from Salem Lake are required to wear a life jacket at all times while in the boat.

• Three blast of the horn is to notify all boaters to get off the lake that there is a storm coming in that could be dangerous.

• The staff at Salem Lake can assist you with fishing gear bait both live and artificial.
They can also register your boat and sell you a fishing license.
