Trail User Information

The 6.9-mile trail around the lake made up of dirt, sand, gravel and rock dust. The surface is good for walking, running and biking.
For Your Convenience & Safety
• Trail closes 30 minutes before gates are locked. We want everyone off the trail 30 minutes before we close the park.
• Trail Users are asked to check in at the Fishing Station to obtain trail information, i.e. storm damage or clean up, trail maintenance, or water over the dam. This is done for your safety.
• When the water level has overflowed the dam, the back gate will be closed.
• The back gate closes at 4:00 p.m. during the winter months and at 5:00 p.m. during the summer. This is done to let park users know that the trail will close shortly so visitors will not get locked in the gate.
• If you have a minor accident on the trail, please call the Fishing Station at 650-7677 instead of dialing 911. Lake Staff will be more than happy to assist you. In serious emergencies always call 911 first. Afterwards, please call the Fishing Station to give them your location. All Emergency Personnel always report to the Fishing Station first so we can assist them with our equipment.
• If you do not feel good after your exercise around the lake, please come into the Fishing Station for assistance. Do not drive off.
