PHONY MAGAZINE SELLERS IN WINSTON-SALEM

The Winston-Salem Police Department is receiving reports of a young male, age 20 to 25, with blonde hair who is going door-to-door falsely representing All-Star Lacrosse and soliciting the sale of magazines. The scheme is to sell magazines or take donations with a portion of the sale going to U.S. Troops overseas (or magazines can be purchased and sent to soldiers overseas). The solicitor will not accept less than $59 - $60 purchase and writes this amount even if customer buys only one subscription. Many people who buy a magazine subscription never receive a single issue.

The company listed on the sales receipt is: MAJESTIC SALES LLC Clearing Business through Marquis Fulfillment Agency LLC, P.O. Box 2243 Buford, GA 30515. The solicitor does not have a city-issued peddler’s license nor does he carry a driver’s license. If you have purchased magazines or given a donation to this company, you can do the following:
