No Downtown Farmers’ Market This Year

The city will not hold a Downtown Farmers’ Market this year due to declining participation by vendors and customers in recent years.

Vendors who have been selling at the downtown market will be invited to participate in the Dixie Classic Farmers’ Market held every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. That market, which is held year-round, attracts more than 40 vendors selling such items as fruits and vegetables, home-canned goods, and free-range and grass-fed meats.

With this transition, the Dixie Classic Farmers’ Market will be enhanced starting in May to include contests and seasonal cooking demonstrations by local chefs.
