SKYWARN Severe Weather Spotter Training Offered

The National Weather Service, the Forsyth County Office of Emergency Management and Guilford County Emergency Services are sponsoring SKYWARN Severe Weather Spotter Training and a review of the tornadoes in Clemmons and Greensboro, Wednesday, April 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Woodland Hall at Triad Park, 9652 W. Market Street, Kernersville.
The class will include how and why buildings fail in high winds; thunderstorm development and severity; recognizing storm and cloud elements; anticipating storm motions, intensity and severity based on cloud structure; and lightning dynamics and threats.
