Landfill Hours Change

The landfills on Hanes Mill Road and Old Salisbury Road and the yard waste facility on Overdale Road will have new operating hours starting Monday, March 2. The new hours will be 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

The yard waste facility at Forum 52 is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The new hours are being implemented to reduce operating costs. A staff review of use patterns at the facilities indicated that the change will have minimal impact on waste haulers and the public.

Holiday hours for all facilities remain the same: Hanes Mill Road is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on all city holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Old Salisbury Road, Overdale Road and Forum 52 facilities are closed on all city holidays.
