West End Utility Project Update

Fourth Street between Brookstown Avenue and Glade Street will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 13, to continue work on a 16-inch water main. Work will continue on this line, on Sundays only, throughout the month of January. The street is open Mondays through Saturdays.

Construction continues on Sunset Drive between First and Forsyth streets and on Clover Street between West End Boulevard and Carolina Avenue. Detours are posted.

West End Boulevard between Forsyth Street and Glade Street is now open.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in most of the West End neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2008.
