West End Utility Project Update

Work on Carolina Avenue, between Pilot View and Brookstown Avenue, is completed and the street has been re-opened. On Monday, May 7, construction will begin on West End Boulevard between Pilot View Street and Reynolda Road. The road will be closed approximately three weeks. A detour will be posted.

Construction continues on Four-Half (4 ½ ) Street, between Brookstown Avenue and Summit Street; on Brookstown Avenue, between Fourth and Fifth Street; and on Glade Street, between West End and Sunset Drive. Detour routes are posted.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in most of the West End neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2008.
