West End Utility Project Update

The block of West End Boulevard between Brookstown Avenue and Clover Street is now open. Construction will begin Monday, June 11, on West End Boulevard between Clover and Glade streets. These two blocks will be closed approximately four weeks. A detour will be posted.

Construction continues on Fifth Street, between Broad and Summit streets; and on Summit Street, between Sixth Street and Carolina Avenue. Detour routes are posted.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in most of the West End neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2008.
