West End Utility Project Update

Construction will begin on Carolina Avenue, between Pilot View Street and Brookstown Avenue, on Monday, April 23. Work is expected to take about four weeks. A detour will be posted.

Construction continues on Four-Half (4 ½ ) Street, between Brookstown Avenue and Broad Street; on Glade Street, between Hawthorne Road and Sunset Drive; on Pilot View Street, between Carolina and Jersey avenues; and on Summit Street, between Fourth and Fifth streets. Detour routes are posted.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in most of the West End neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2008.
