Rewards Offered in Sgt. Plouff Killing

Three rewards totaling $12,000 are being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Winston-Salem Police Sgt. Howard J. Plouff.
The North Carolina Governor's Office has offered a reward of up to $5,000. In addition, Mayor Allen Joines has raised a $5,000 reward from local business and community leaders. Crimestoppers is offering a $2,000 reward.
Plouff, a 17-year veteran with the department, died Friday night after being shot in the line of duty while responding to a fight outside a nightclub.
