Police to Hold Neighborhood Watch
Recruitment Fair

Police Department - May 7, 2007
Contact: Sgt. Trace Fish, 773-7835

The Neighborhood Watch Association of Winston-Salem will hold its first-ever Neighborhood Watch Recruitment Fair on Saturday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.

The meeting will be held near the clock tower and will cover the advantages of Neighborhood Watch and how to start a neighborhood watch group. There will be games for children and food for the first 250 people to attend.

Over the years, Neighborhood Watch has been one of the best ways to maintain communication between the Police Department and the citizens of Winston-Salem. Currently there are 111 Neighborhood Watch groups in Winston-Salem.

Residents in neighborhoods that do not have a neighborhood watch group are strongly encouraged to attend. For more information contact the Crime Prevention Unit at 773-7835.
