Council Member Burke To Be Recognized With Resolution

Northeast Ward Council Member and Mayor Pro Tempore Vivian H. Burke will be honored with a resolution by the City Council, congratulating her for her lifelong efforts to support the citizens of Winston-Salem and North Carolina.

The resolution will be presented during the City Council meeting Monday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

The resolution notes Burke’s long service on the City Council, her numerous contributions to preserve local history, her work with the local schools and various civic groups, and her efforts to promote economic development.
