Family Services, Legal Aid of North Carolina, and the Human Relations Department of the City of Winston-Salem will be providing a training and strategy session for property management professionals and individuals who work in the domestic violence field and human services industry. The event will include a training and strategy session on how to better integrate services available to domestic violence victims.

The workshop is designed to:

• Increase understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence.
• Educate the impact that domestic violence has on the search for housing, specifically discussing updated policy provisions to enforcing the Fair Housing Act.
• Provide information on the Violence Against Women Act.
• Introduce applicable policies and procedures to eliminate unfair treatment of domestic violence victims.
• Increase educational opportunities around the city.
