Winston-Salem Infrastructure Development Standards

This document is a guide for the preparation and submittal of plans for infrastructure development projects within Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, N.C. In addition to using this guide, the design engineer should use sound engineering judgment in the design of each individual site.

NOTE: Some visitors have reported problems opening this PDF file, particularly those visitors using older versions of Internet Explorer or Adobe Acrobat Reader. There are several solutions to this problem:

1. Instead of left-clicking on the file, right-click on the file and download it (click on "save target as").  A dialog box will open once the download is complete, and you can click on "open" to open the file in Adobe Reader.
2. Modify your Adobe Acrobat Reader settings: In Adobe Reader, go to edit -> preferences -> internet -> and uncheck "Display PDF in Browser."
3. Update your browser and Adobe Reader, or open the file in another browser.
