Minority- and Women-owned Business Bid Opportunities
Your business does not have to be a certified minority- or women-owned business to bid on city contracts for goods and services. However, being certified will allow the city to contact your business and inform you of those opportunities that are available here. This page lists opportunities for construction projects. Please follow the instructions at the bottom of this page to register so you can receive notice of new projects.
To become a certified minority- or women-owned business with the City of Winston-Salem, you must become certified with the State of North Carolina HUB Office. The State's HUB office is the certifying agency for the entire state. Follow the links to the left for certification. To register as a vendor follow the link below.

In the City/County M/WBE program the general contractor bidding on a Formal Contract bid project is responsible for soliciting M/WBEs for participation. Every project will have an advertised pre bid conference where MWBE sub contractors can attend to hear specifics of each project and to meet the general contractors interested in bidding on the project.
