Community Services
Community Services provides relocation assistance to households and businesses displaced by government action and conducts various community outreach and home counseling programs. Assistance is also provided to the code enforcement officers when they encounter broad neighborhood problems that require citizen involvement in correcting the problems.
Community Services provides assistance in the planning and implementation of improvements a neighborhood may wish to undertake. In addition, Services acts as a liaison between neighborhoods and specific city departments/divisions relative to the provision of services (Community and Business Development, Community Services Programs).
Community Services also facilitates the Annual Winston-Salem Citywide Neighborhood Conference. This allows neighborhood associations to come together in workshops to share ideas and experiences and promotes dialogue on common issues and concerns.
