Examples of Prohibited Conduct While Using City Hall Lawn
Citizens planning to conduct public open air meetings on the City Hall lawn should be aware that the following activities are prohibited:
- Ceasing to engage in an “open air public meeting”
- Pitching tents and/or camping
- Violating noise ordinance
- Entering any portion of property that is roped off
- Sitting on City Hall sign or walls
- Littering
- Blocking sidewalk
- Blocking entrances/exits to building or parking lot
- Sleeping or laying down anywhere on the property
- Holding or displaying any banner
- Holding or displaying any sign larger than 2 feet by 2 feet
- Posting (affixing) any sign anywhere on the property
- Urinating in public
- Using sound amplification devices
- Vending/selling food and/or cooking on the property
- Use of open flame
- Driving on any sidewalk
- Injuring or destroying public property
- Possession/discharge of firearms
- Engaging in disorderly conduct
