Special Olympics Forsyth County is a year-round sports training and competition program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our program is the 3rd largest Special Olympics program in the state, with more than 1,600 athletes training and competing in 15 different sports. Throughout the season, athletes grow by demonstrating courage, experiencing joy, engaging in new friendships, and enhancing their skills.
There is no charge for athletes to train and compete in Special Olympics.
Special Olympics Forsyth County offers sports training in the Fall and Spring. Each team has the opportunity to attend the Fall Tournament or Summer Games. Winning participants have an opportunity to compete in state and national games.
